PSA: I accidentally hit 500 fence posts installed this year and it made me realize my joints feel different

I was counting up my jobs from just this spring and summer and came to 512 posts set in the ground, which is way more than my usual 300 or so, and now my left shoulder has been popping on humid mornings like it's trying to tell me something, anyone else notice their body complaining after a certain number of posts?

You're blaming the posts for your joints, but 512 in a season is nothing for someone who takes care of their body. Maybe the pop in your shoulder is from bad form or not warming up before you dig holes all day. People love to blame their tools or their job, but sometimes it's just time to stretch more and drink water. Joints are supposed to last longer than that if you lift right and don't overdo it. Sounds like you need to fix your technique before you start calling it a warning sign from your body.

Stretching and water alone won't fix 512 posts worth of repetitive wear and tear. That's like saying a yoga class stops a fork lift driver's back from hurting. Your shoulder pops because you're doing the SAME motion over and over, not because you forgot to do a toe touch. Bad form is usually just the body getting tired after the 400th post. Maybe listen to the pop instead of blaming the technique.
