Old way vs new - how do you nail your front shoes on?

I used to always nail on the toe first and work back, but after a bad quarter crack 6 years ago I switched to nailing the heels first to let the shoe sit more naturally. What's your order and did something specific make you change it up?

Switched to heels-first last year and it just makes the whole thing sit better...

My buddy Tom switched to heels-first after his mare threw a shoe mid-canter and somehow landed it in his coffee mug. Never seen a guy lose his faith in toe-first so fast, lol.
