Vent: spent a whole Saturday trying to fix my lawnmower with zip ties before just buying a new carburetor
Wound up snapping three cheap zip ties on the same bolt before driving to the hardware store for a $15 part that fixed the whole thing in ten minutes and I still had to mow at dusk with a flashlight has anyone else wasted a whole afternoon on a hack that just made things worse?

Oh absolutely, I'm the queen of dumb yard work decisions. Last summer I was determined to finish trimming the hedges before a storm rolled in and ended up out there with a headlamp and hedge clippers at like 10:30 PM. The neighbors must have thought I was a total weirdo, but at least my bushes looked clean the next morning.
