A client told me my lash extensions were 'too uniform' and it stung at first
She said they looked fake because every lash was exactly the same length, like little soldiers in a row. I started mixing 8mm, 10mm, and 12mm in a fan pattern and now my sets look way more natural. Has anyone else had to unlearn a habit that felt right but clients hated?

OH come ON, "too uniform" is a weird thing to get stung over. I mean yeah sure maybe they looked a bit same-y but it's lash extensions not a piece of art. The client probably just wanted something more natural looking but "too uniform" sounds like they were trying to be dramatic about it. You did the right thing mixing lengths though, that's just basic lash mapping stuff. I see people freaking out over small feedback all the time on here and it's usually not that deep.

Yeah, I totally get what you're saying about "not that deep" - sometimes people just need to hear it phrased like that to relax a bit. It's easy to take feedback personally when you put work into something, but most clients aren't trying to be harsh, they just don't know the right words. You handled it well by not getting defensive, that's the mature move honestly.
