Update: Tried a 4 inch pan instead of 3 inch on a weird corner

So I had this real tight corner in a closet near the stairs, the kind that always leaves a mess. I grabbed a 4 inch pan instead of my usual 3 inch since it was closer. Cleanest corner I ever did, zero touch up needed. Anybody else had a tool swap just work out way better than you planned?

You ever tried loading a 4 inch pan with less paint than you normally would? That fat ridge comes from pressing too hard and having too much paint in the corner. Light touch and a half-loaded pan, and a 4 inch can fly right through those tight spots without any mess.

My 4 inch pan left me with a fat paint ridge in the corner of my laundry room closet last month. I had to sand it down and repaint the whole section because it pushed too much paint into the joint. The 3 inch gives me way more control on tight angles, even if it takes an extra minute.
