Quick trick for lifting drywall sheets alone

Lifting full sheets by myself was always a struggle. I now use a drywall lift I built from scrap wood to get them in place. What do you use when you're working solo?

Twenty bucks an hour?!

Man, I never realized how bad that struggle was for my back until I tweaked it last year. Now I just pay the neighbor's kid twenty bucks to be my second set of hands for an hour. Best money I spend on a project, saves me from more bad news.

Oh, I hear you! I used to be so stubborn about asking for help that I'd rather throw my back out than admit I needed an extra pair of hands. Last time I tried to move a sofa by myself, I was walking like a question mark for a week. My wife still laughs about how I had to shuffle sideways through doorways. Now I've learned my lesson and I bribe my nephew with pizza to help me out. It's cheaper than a chiropractor, that's for sure.
