PSA: I chose a 12-inch cutter head over a 14-inch for a tight river job in Pittsburgh last fall and everyone on the crew thought I was nuts.

Nah, saw a vid where the smaller head actually got better control in tight spots.

Totally agree with @alice991. Had the same thing happen last week. Was working in a really cramped corner and the smaller head was a game changer. Felt way more precise. The big one just kept bumping into everything. Makes sense for tight spots.
