Lost a full week of production to a clogged suction line back in June
Had a chunk of old timber jam the impeller on Monday morning and it took until Friday afternoon to cut it out with torches because the yard wouldn't send a crane, has anyone else dealt with downtime this bad from debris nobody warned you about?

Wait, are you saying nobody warned you about timber in the suction line? I gotta respectfully push back on that one. If you're in a yard with old timber around, you should ALWAYS expect debris like that. I've been running equipment for years and it's pretty much a rule that anything floating or buried can show up in your lines. Your yard being slow to help is a whole different problem, but blaming the timber feels like missing the real issue. Maybe start planning for the worst case so you aren't stuck for a whole week next time.

Totally changed my view honestly. Used to think surprise debris was just bad luck but you're right, should be planning for it by default. How do you normally prep for the worst case on jobs like this?
