I finally ignored the 'never use splines for structural lines' rule on a complex curved foundation plan.

After struggling for hours with arcs and polylines on a curved addition in Austin, I drew the main curve as a single spline, set the control points to match the survey, and it plotted perfectly to scale on the first try, so has anyone else found a case where a classic drafting 'never' actually worked?

But what happens when you need to edit that spline later? @mary614, those old rules exist because they stop future headaches.

Classic drafting rules are made to be broken sometimes.
