Warning: My $700 epoxied garage floor peeled in 8 months

I coated my garage floor last spring with a cheap epoxy kit from a big box store, thought I prepped it fine. By December the stuff was lifting in big sheets wherever my car tires sat. Had to grind it all off and redo it with a proper 2-part system, cost me another $350 in materials and a full weekend. Anyone else burn money on garage coatings that failed fast, or did I just skip a step I shouldn't have?

Moisture under the slab got mine too, ground it down and used a breathable sealer instead.
