Rant: I used to paint trim before installing it... now I don't bother
I spent 4 hours last weekend painting baseboards on sawhorses before nailing them in, then had to touch up every single nail hole anyway... what a waste of time. Now I just paint everything after it's up and caulked in one coat - takes me half the time. Anybody else given up on pre-painting and just rolled with painting in place?

Used to be a pre-paint truther all the way, thought it was the only way to get a clean look. But then I did a whole basement with those MDF baseboards and spent forever brushing every piece before install. Still had to go back and do all the nail hole touch ups plus the caulk line. Total waste of a Saturday. Now I just cut, nail, caulk, and do one good coat with a quality brush. Looks just as good and saves me a ton of time. I'm converted.

Ask @cora_martinez if you ever got any bleed through from the nail holes doing it that way. I've tried the cut and paint method but always end up with little rust spots showing up a month later.
