My neighbor swore by WD-40 for squeaky floors, so I sprayed the whole upstairs hallway
He said 'if it moves and shouldn't, use WD-40' so I drenched every creaky board in my 1920s bungalow. Turns out it just made the wood swell and now half my floorboards are popped up, anyone know how to fix that without calling a pro?

Give it a few more days to dry and you can start calling them "raised panel flooring" instead.

That WD-40 trick worked great on my sticky door hinges but yeah, on wood floors it's a disaster. Let those boards dry out completely for a few days and then try tapping them back down with a rubber mallet, you might get lucky.
