Wasted $150 on a fancy paint sprayer for one room
I bought a top-of-the-line Wagner sprayer thinking it would make painting my living room a breeze, but I spent 3 hours cleaning the stupid thing after just 20 minutes of use. The paint clogged the nozzle twice, and I ended up with drips everywhere that took forever to sand down. Has anyone else given up on sprayers and just gone back to rollers for small jobs?

Thinner paint might help next time. I've had better luck with 2:1 dilution ratios.

Did you try thinning the paint like ryanh77 mentioned? I read somewhere that some sprayers just can't handle thicker paints no matter what you do, and people end up fighting the tool instead of using it. In my experience, rollers are way easier for anything smaller than a whole house, and you don't waste time cleaning nozzles for hours. I heard from a buddy who paints kitchens for a living that he only uses sprayers for cabinets and big walls, otherwise he sticks with a roller and a good brush for trim. So maybe your money wasn't wasted, it's just that sprayer might work better for bigger projects down the road.
