Neighbor lady gave me a weird tip about hanging drywall...

She stopped me in my driveway last month and swore I should use hot glue sticks on the seams before mudding. I laughed it off but tried it on a small patch in my basement and it actually held better than my nails did in one spot. Anyone else get random advice from people that somehow works?

Yeah but you gotta use the high temp ones... they hold way better.

Wait is that actually a thing? I used to think hot glue was only good for crafts and school projects, but @thomasm41 mentioned using the high temp ones and honestly that makes a lot more sense. I tried it on a crooked ceiling corner where nails kept popping and the glue held that sucker tight for months now. Changed my whole opinion on random neighbor advice.
