My laptop charger died in a hostel in Medellin and the replacement cost me $73
I was three weeks into a two month stay in Medellin when my MacBook charger just stopped working, no warning, nothing. I had a client call in 4 hours and only 12% battery left, so I ran to a shop in El Poblado and paid $73 for a replacement that turned out to be a fake. It charged so slow I basically babysat the laptop all day and still missed half the call. Has anyone found a good way to test chargers before buying them in a new city?
