Just saw a stat that 42% of digital nomads burn through savings in under 6 months, where do you draw the line between hustle and just surviving on the road?
I found that number from a Nomad List survey and it made me wonder if the freedom lifestyle is actually just a debt trap for some, are you guys running lean budgets or just winging it till the money runs out?

Honestly wonder how many of that 42% are just bad at math and not necessarily living some tragic struggle. You can survive on a shoestring in most places if you actually budget instead of hitting coworking spaces and craft breweries every day. Feels like half these surveys just confirm some people treat "digital nomad" as an excuse to vacation until their savings account cries.

But is it really about being bad at math though, or just not wanting to face the reality that they're burning through cash faster than expected? I've seen plenty of folks who have solid income but still blow it all on overpriced "experiences" and think that's just the nomad life. The real question is how many of them are actually tracking their spending month by month, you know, versus just glancing at their bank balance every few weeks and hoping for the best. Could be that the ones struggling are the same ones who never had a budget to begin with, not even back home.
