A barista in Chiang Mai told me my laptop setup was a fire hazard

I was working out of this little coffee spot near the Old City, had my charger running under a pile of papers and my external drive tucked behind a napkin holder. She just pointed and said 'that cable's gonna melt your whole vibe one day.' I got a $12 cable sleeve the next morning and now I clear my workspace everytime I pack up. Anyone else get random safety wake-up calls from strangers?

That 'melt your whole vibe' line is gold. A buddy of mine had his laptop battery swell up after he kept it plugged in on a soft couch for months.
