My 3D render hit 1,000 views on a Tuesday and I just sat there staring at the screen
I posted this sci-fi hallway scene on a Tuesday night, mostly as a joke because I made it in about 6 hours using Blender, and woke up to 1,000 views. For 2 years my stuff sat at like 30 views max, so this number felt fake at first. I think what did it was I stopped hiding the messy wireframe and posted a breakdown of my lighting setup in the comments. The whole thing made me wonder if sharing the ugly process matters more than polishing the final piece. Has anyone else noticed their process posts get way more eyes than the finished render?
Did you ever post something at like 3am thinking nobody would see it and then wake up to a flood of replies? Funny thing, my most viewed post ever was a blurry photo of my desk after a failed print, spaghetti mess everywhere, and I wrote one line about giving up for the night. It got more hits than any clean render I ever uploaded. Meanwhile my best finished piece, weeks of work, sits at like 40 views and half of those are probably my own refreshes. Something about the mess makes people stop scrolling, maybe because it looks like their own desk at 2am. Pretty sure the algorithm likes it too since folks actually reply to those posts. Anyway your wireframe thing tracks.
