I used to sketch on napkins at diners in Cleveland, now I use a $40 tablet

Back in 2017 I'd sit at the counter at Corky's Diner and draw on those thin paper napkins with a cheap ballpoint pen. The coffee stains added character but you couldn't save anything. Now I use a Huion H430P tablet that cost $39.99 and it changed everything. Has anyone else switched from physical media to digital and felt like they lost some of the messy fun?
