PSA: my 6.0 Power Stroke hit 300k and the head gaskets never blew, so stop telling me it can't happen
Everyone in this trade loves to trash the 6.0 and say they all pop head gaskets before 100k. Mine rolled over 300,000 miles last month on the original gaskets and studs, mostly hauling equipment around Bakersfield. I run a strict 5,000 mile oil change with the good filter and watch my coolant and EGTs like a hawk, and it has held up fine. The old timers at the shop still call me lucky, but I think a lot of these trucks got killed by tuners and cheap parts, not bad engineering. Anyone else running a 6.0 past 250k on the originals, or am I really the odd one out here?
