I finally stopped guessing on injector torque and started marking the socket
For years I just snugged injector hold-down bolts by feel and called it good, which cost me a comeback on a 6.7 in Abilene back in March when one worked loose at about 400 miles. Now I hit them with a torque wrench at 44 inch-pounds and put a paint mark on the socket so I know it moved. Takes maybe 90 extra seconds per job and I have not had one back since. Any of you run into a spec that felt way too light until it bit you?
