That 'as-is' DVD player from the thrift store actually works like a champ
Picked up a beat-up Toshiba DVD player for $6 at a Goodwill in Portland last month, figured it would just be a parts donor for my old home theater setup. Surprised me by reading every scratched disc my kids throw at it, even the ones my newer player chokes on. The catch is the remote is dead and the front display only shows half the letters, but I control it fine with the buttons on the unit itself. Anyone else have luck with random thrift store electronics that the original companies stopped supporting years ago?
