Checked out the old Summit Mall near Akron last weekend

I was sure the stories about a full fountain still running inside were fake, but the water was on and everything. The sound echoing in that empty food court was just creepy. Has anyone else seen a dead mall with something still fully operational like that?

That's a wild find. The only thing I ever saw still on was a single, flickering fluorescent light over a shuttered Spencer's Gifts. A running fountain with the sound bouncing around would absolutely freak me out.
