A quote from a Navy captain about making decisions finally made sense when I read how long it takes to turn a ship
I was reading a book about Navy leadership and a captain said it takes a carrier about 5 miles to come to a full stop, so he has to think about his next move way before he needs it. That number stuck with me because I always thought big ships turned fast like in the movies. I tried it at my job at a warehouse in Fresno, planning my week on Monday instead of reacting every morning. So far it has cut my panic moments way down. Does anyone else have a quote like this that only clicked once you saw the real numbers behind it?
