Talking to a guy at Best Buy changed how I think about password managers
I was at Best Buy in Denver last Saturday looking at external drives, and this older dude working there started talking about how he got his accounts hacked three times in one year because he used the same password everywhere. He said he switched to Bitwarden after the third time and hasn't had an issue since. It hit different because I've been lazy about using the free one built into my browser, but he showed me on his phone how it generates random passwords for each site. Has anyone else had a wakeup call like that from a random person?

I've heard that argument before but honestly I still just use the same 3 passwords for everything and never had a problem in like 15 years. The risk feels overblown for most people who aren't clicking on obvious phishing links.

@henry_hernandez saying you've gone 15 years with no issues is wild to me. I had one account get hit and that was enough to switch everything over. Three passwords for 15 years sounds like you've been lucky, not smart.
