Shoutout to the guy at the KC meetup who called my build 'a waste of good parts'

I was showing off my first 75% build at a meet in Kansas City, really proud of the work. This older guy picked it up, typed a few keys, and just said, 'You put all this effort into a board that sounds this hollow? It's a waste of good parts.' He didn't even look at me. I spent weeks on that thing, and his comment stuck with me for days. Has anyone else had a build just torn down by one rude comment?

That guy at the KC meetup sounds like he's got a screw loose, and not the kind you use for stabilizers. He probably types on a dusty old rubber dome board from 2003 and thinks foam is something you put in a seat cushion. The only waste here is his time spent being a jerk to someone showing their first build. Next time tell him his opinion sounds hollow.

Reminds me of a guy at a local meet who brought a board he'd clearly just dunked in motor oil for "patina." The whole thing was sticky and smelled like a garage. He got so mad when people wouldn't touch it, started yelling about us not getting "real mods." Some folks just want to be the main character at any cost.

Ugh, I just built my next board even louder.
