Saw a guy at the library typing on a board with no keycaps

He was just using the bare switches, and the sound was this weird mix of plastic clicks and spring pings. It made me realize I've been chasing the 'perfect' sound for so long that I forgot to just listen to the board itself. Anyone else ever try typing on a bare switch build?

Forgot to just listen" is a great point. Did the sound change your typing rhythm?

Oh man, my buddy did that once. He said the raw spring noise totally threw off his speed, which actually makes sense with what @victor_butler50 asked about rhythm. It was a cool experiment, but he put the keycaps back on pretty fast.
