Dropped $150 on a podcast mic and my first 6 episodes sounded like a tin can
Bought a $150 Rode setup thinking a better mic meant better audio and my first handful of episodes still had this hollow echo that made me want to delete the whole thing. Turned out my untreated spare bedroom in Phoenix was the real problem and a $20 moving blanket behind me did more than the mic ever did. Anyone else blow cash on gear when the fix was like $20 of stuff from a hardware store?
