Finally gave in and tried a remote crane control system last month
I was always dead set on using manual levers in the cab, but a job out in Bakersfield forced my hand. The site foreman had a new Liebherr setup with a radio remote, and after 3 days of fighting tight sightlines on a steel frame, I gave it a shot. Honestly, the precision on the swing control surprised me, especially for placing beams within 2 inches. Has anyone else switched over and found it tricky to unlearn the old muscle memory?

The newer Liebherr stuff actually has almost no lag on most models, at least the ones I've been around. Maybe it was a different brand or an older rig that gave you that impression.
