Shoutout to the person at the farmers market who called Stardew a "chore simulator," you kind of broke my brain
I was standing in line for honey last Saturday in Ann Arbor and two people next to me started talking about their farms. One of them was on year 4 of Stardew and the other one laughed and called it a chore simulator, like it was a bad thing. I sat with that for a couple of blocks and realized he was right, I just don't think of chores as a bad word anymore. I water 12 crops, feed my chickens, and clear a few rocks before work most mornings and it settles me down more than any show does. My husband thinks it's funny that I'll do virtual chores for an hour and then put off our real dishes. So where's the line for you, do you play for the little routines or for the story and the town people?
