I let my Stardew farm go to weeds for 2 seasons on purpose and it actually helped
Everyone says you have to water every crop every day or your farm falls apart, but I skipped the entire summer and fall of my fourth save on purpose. I wanted to see what actually happens if you just stop. The weeds spread, sure, and a few paths got swallowed, but the game never punished me. My animals stayed fed because I'd built auto feeders months earlier, and the junimo huts kept harvesting my ancient fruit without me touching anything. I came back in winter, cleared maybe 40 tiles of junk in one in-game day, and my profits for the missing seasons were only down maybe 15 percent. Turns out the pressure to do everything daily is mostly in my head, not in the game. Has anyone else just let a farm coast like that, or do you all keep the daily chores going no matter what?
I did the same on my riverland save for all of winter year 3, just fed the animals and let everything else sit. The debris was mostly grass and twigs, and clearing it took one morning with a gold axe.
