Wasted 3 weekends on a split screen fix before realizing my TV had a game mode buried in the settings
So my buddy and I couldn't figure out why our split screen sessions felt laggy and blurry no matter what we did. We swapped HDMI cables, moved the console to a different outlet, even tried a whole new controller, and nothing helped for about 3 weekends straight. Turns out my TV had a game mode setting buried like 4 menus deep, and once I turned it on the input lag dropped instantly. I timed it after and we went from what felt like half a second delay to basically nothing in Rocket League. Probably saved us from buying a new TV for no reason. If your couch co-op feels off, check your TV picture settings before you blame the console or the game. Anyone else find a dumb setting fix that took way too long to spot?

It's always some hidden setting, like life's little joke where the fix was there the whole time.
