I stopped arguing flat earth alone and started asking for their best source first, and debates actually go somewhere now
Last month I got into it again on a Facebook group about the moon landing, and instead of throwing facts at the wall I just asked the guy for his single best piece of evidence. He sent me a 40 minute YouTube video, so I watched the whole thing and asked him which minute had the actual proof in it. He went quiet for two days, then came back with a NASA photo he said was faked, and we spent an hour on just that one photo instead of 12 topics at once. Now I do this every time, one source, one claim, and the talks go way better. Has anyone else found a way to keep these debates from turning into a total mess?
