Picked gas-powered over electric screed for a big slab last week

Had to choose between a 4-cycle gas screed and an electric one for a 40x60 warehouse floor. Went with the gas because the job site had no power hookups close enough. Bad call - the fumes in that enclosed space got so bad two guys had headaches by lunch. We finished the pour but I should've rented the electric and run extension cords. Anyone else get burned by gas tools inside?

You ever try running a long hose from a generator outside? I had a similar problem with a gas trowel in a basement once. Hooked up a 100-foot hose to vent the exhaust out a window and it made a world of difference.

Tried something similar with a dryer hose once @william320, got it hooked up to a shop vac in a pinch...
