Old timer told me to never power trowel wet concrete, I found out why
I was finishing a patio slab in Fresno last month and this retired guy named Hank who lives across the street yelled over that I was gonna burn the cream if I hit it with the power trowel too soon. I figured he was just being nosy, but I went ahead and waited about 45 extra minutes. Ended up with a way smoother surface and no delamination, which I honestly used to fight all the time. Has anyone else had a random neighbor or passerby give them finishing advice that actually worked out?
