A customer's comment about my workbench made me change my whole setup

Honestly, I was fixing a laptop for a regular last week and he pointed at my bench and said, 'Your tools are all over the place, how do you find anything?' I had my screwdrivers, spudgers, and thermal paste just scattered. That night I spent $40 on a cheap pegboard and some bins from the hardware store. Ngl, organizing everything by job type has cut my average repair time down by like 15 minutes already. Has anyone else done a big bench clean-up and seen a real difference?

Thought it was dumb but it actually works.

Right? Happens all the time. You write something off as a dumb trend without even trying it. Then you finally give it a shot and it clicks. Makes you wonder what else you're missing out on because it looks silly at first. Always good to stay open to stuff, I guess.

Exactly, @mason.jason. I did that with those stupid fidget spinners back in 2017. My nephew had one and I rolled my eyes so hard. Tried it while he was talking my ear off and, man, it just worked. Kept my hands busy. Now I get why people were into them. Makes you question your own quick judgments for sure.
