Update: I keep seeing divers mess up their umbilical checks on the boat

Last week in Port Angeles, I watched a guy get suited up and his tender didn't check the hot water hose connection at the helmet. It was loose. The diver got a face full of cold water at 90 feet and had to come up. It's a simple thing, but I see it skipped a lot. Do you guys have a specific order for your pre-dive umbilical check that works best?

How do you even skip the hot water check? Honestly, that's like forgetting to put gas in your car before a road trip. Tbh some people just rush and it costs everyone time.

Ever wonder why people skip steps like that? I used to get mad about it too, but then I messed up a simple oil change by rushing... cost me way more time and money to fix it later. Now I get how a quick check can save so much hassle.
