Took me 3 hours to find a single back issue at my local shop last Saturday

I went to Comic Kingdom over on 7th Avenue to pick up issue #47 of a run I'm collecting. Their back issue bins are sorted by title but not by number, which I usually don't mind. But this time I spent a full 3 hours digging through three different long boxes labeled 'random X-Men era' just to find that one issue. I found two copies of issue #46 and three of #48, but the one I needed was buried at the bottom of the third box. The clerk told me they just dump new stock in whenever they get it, no system at all. Has anyone else dealt with a shop that refuses to organize their back issues by number? I'm thinking about asking them to let me sort a box myself next time I visit.

man three hours is brutal, i feel your pain. did you at least find anything else interesting digging through those bins or was it just a total waste of saturday? i ask because sometimes the chaos uncovers a hidden gem but sounds like you got stuck in X-Men hell.

Funny thing is @shane_perry29 I actually used to be one of those guys who'd roll his eyes at the X-Men completists. Thought it was just junk to flip. But digging through those bins changed my mind a bit. Found a beat up copy of New Mutants #98 that I almost tossed cause the cover was rough, but turns out it's a Deadpool first appearance. Still not worth a fortune in that condition, but it made the whole Saturday feel less wasted. So yeah, sometimes the chaos does hide a gem, even if you gotta wade through a hundred Juggernaut issues to find it.
