Re-reading my old collection after 15 years hit different
Dragged out my long boxes from 2008 last week, mostly 90s Image and early Marvel, and the paper smell alone took me back. I expected nostalgia, but instead I kept noticing how much slower the pacing was, and now I'm wondering if I actually liked these stories or just the ritual of buying them at my local shop in Portland. Anyone else gone back to old runs and felt weirdly disconnected from what you loved?
