Lost a signed Savage Dragon #1 at a con in Chicago, found out my bag and board was the reason
So I finally got to meet Erik Larsen at C2E2 back in 2019 and he signed my Savage Dragon #1, which I was hyped about since I'd been chasing that book for like 6 months. I put it in a cheap poly bag with a board I'd had sitting in a box, and at the airport the corner got bent because the bag was too loose and it just slid around in my backpack. The guy at my local shop in Oak Park took one look and said the crease dropped it from a 9.0 to like a 6.0, which stung since I paid $220 for it raw. Now I'm scared to even bring my nice books anywhere, so what do you all actually use to travel with signed stuff that won't wreck it?
