Rant: a barista in Portland poured my espresso over ice and I haven't gone back
Two summers ago I was at a shop on Alberta St and she pulled a shot straight onto a cup of ice without asking. I figured it would taste thin, but it was brighter and sweeter than anything I'd made at home in months. Now I keep a tray of ice cubes next to my machine, and I'm wondering if anyone else here drinks their espresso cold on purpose.
