My Aeropress and I have been in a fight since I switched to a scale in January
For about 4 years I scooped beans with the same red plastic scoop that came with my grinder and eyeballed the water, and honestly it made a fine cup most mornings. Then a guy at the roaster on 5th in Tucson handed me his brew and said 'that's 15 grams, 250 water, 2:30' and it tasted so much better than mine that I bought a $22 scale on the way home. Now I weigh everything and the coffee is better, but I want to know if anyone else out there still scoops by feel and refuses to change.
