Moka pot vs pour over, the cup said it all

I did a side by side with the same beans from a local roaster in Austin, same grind, same water temp. The moka pot gave this thick, syrupy body that just wiped the floor with the pour over's clean but thinner taste. Anyone else find moka pots underrated for darker roasts?
