Found out that rinsing my beans before grinding cuts down the bitterness a ton

I started getting this harsh aftertaste from my morning brew, and after 2 weeks of messing with temperature and grind size, I tried a quick rinse under the tap before grinding. Has anyone else noticed a big difference just from wetting the beans first?

Rinsing beans before grinding" sounds like overcomplicating things for minimal payoff.

@rowangonzalez I gotta say "overcomplicating things" is definitely one take but I think you're missing something here. Rinsing gets rid of dust and little rocks that sometimes sneak into the bag. Plus it changes how fast the water moves through your grounds. I tried it once on a whim and my cup was way cleaner tasting. It's not some huge ritual or anything just one extra step that takes five seconds.
