Why does nobody talk about the lenticular cloud that parked over Mount Rainier for 20 minutes?
I was hiking the Skyline Trail near Paradise on July 14 and this smooth disc shaped cloud just sat over the summit without moving, it looked like a UFO stacked on a stack of plates. A ranger named Dave stopped next to me and said he had seen maybe 6 of them in 11 summers up there. Do these things always hold still like that or did I just catch a weird one? Would love to know if anybody has caught a good shot of one.
