My friend said all the best cloud photos are edited. Made me realize maybe we're missing the point.

But what if the edit is just to fix what your camera messed up? My phone always makes the sky look washed out, so I get what @the_hugo means about getting the feeling back. It doesn't have to be a whole new thing.

Right, because the sky's personal branding needs a filter to be valid. It's just funny how we've gotten to a place where a raw, natural moment isn't good enough unless we tweak the contrast. The whole point of a cloud photo, for me at least, is that brief feeling of wonder when you look up. If you edit it into something totally different, you're just making digital art, which is cool too, but maybe call it that.
