Swapped my gas car for an ebike for short trips and the difference is wild

I started tracking how much I drove just to get groceries or run errands within 3 miles of my house. Over 2 months, I was burning about 12 gallons of gas just for those short hauls. That's roughly $48 and a ton of emissions. I got a cheap used ebike for $200 on Facebook and now I only use my car for longer drives. Has anyone else switched some of their trips to biking or walking and noticed a big difference?

Man my buddy got one of those cheap ebikes off Facebook too, ended up crashing into a bush on his first ride cause he forgot where the brakes were. Dude just got up, brushed off the leaves, and said worth it. Now he's all about that bike life even though he can't ride straight.
