Rant: I quit sorting recycling because my city in Ohio just burns it anyway

Spent 3 years rinsing jars and peeling labels, then a guy at the Columbus waste facility tour said half the blue bin goes straight to the incinerator. Now I just toss it all in one bag and honestly the bin smells better. Has anyone else found out their curbside program is basically theater?
