Unpopular opinion: Metroparks parking fees are actually a fair deal
I saw the new fee breakdown in the Westshore Examiner last week, $5 per visit or $35 for the year pass. Everyone in the Facebook group is mad, but I ran the numbers. If you go twice a month, that's $120 a year versus $35, and the pass covers all 18 parks including the new Rocky River reservation lot. The maintenance on those trails at Huntington Beach alone has to cost more than what we pay. Has anyone actually calculated what they spend versus what they get out of it?

The math only works if you actually go to the parks that often, but most people I know just hit the free trailheads by the lake... $35 still stings when you only use it a few times a year.
