Question about the Rocky River library clerk who told me to stop putting holds on new releases
I used to put like 15 holds on brand new books at the Rocky River library and get annoyed when they all showed up at once. Last month a clerk there finally told me straight up that stacking holds on stuff that hasn't even hit the shelf yet just clogs up the system for everyone. She showed me how the "coming soon" list works and said to wait for the actual release day before placing a hold. Now I only put 3 at a time and I actually read them instead of returning half unread. Has anyone else had a librarian call them out like that?

And this same thing happens with restaurant reservations tbh.
